Beth Alpaugh
CEO/Owner
Beth Alpaugh, CEO/Owner, a natural entrepreneur and workaholic began her business in December 2002 as a small coffeehouse and has now transformed her business to one of the largest and most requested catering companies in Idaho.
In 2013, on request, she developed the wholesale division of fresh local grab-n-go foods. Due to the growth and popular demand, the business has recently moved into their brand new state of the art commercial kitchen/processing facility and created the new name for their wholesale items, Simple Bites.
Michael Alpaugh
CEO/Owner
Michael Alpaugh, Chief Financial Officer and husband of Beth for 37 years, is also a Veteran of the United States Air Force. He retired after 22 years of service in 2007.
He spends his retirement years supporting every endeavor that Beth goes for and being the best father to their two children, daughter, Taylor- 28, Boise State University graduate and son, Nick-21, senior at Boise State University.
Ellen Thomason
General Manager
Ellen Thomason, General Manager, brings a lifetime of food and management experience to our company. She spent 17 years with McDonald's Corporation as the Public Relations Manager for a local owner of 3 McDonalds and 19 years with Rhodes International, as a plant secretary for the bakery line in Caldwell, Idaho.
She thought she was going to retire, but decided to come and support her daughter to fulfill her dreams.
Jimmy Kerner
Production Manager
Jimmy Kerner, Production Manager, has been part of Simple Bites since 2015. Moving from Weiser, ID after graduating from high school, Jimmy always had a passion for cooking and would help us cater for many events we were taking on over that time. Over the years, Jimmy worked his way up and became our production manager in August of 2021. Jimmy oversees our floor at all times, directs our team, orders in inventory, and maintains all of our USDA paperwork. From being right out of high school when he joined our team, Jimmy has since married his wife, Amanda, and started a family.
Taylor Alpaugh
Director of Communications
Taylor Alpaugh, Director of Communications, has literally grown up in the company. She was just 7 years old when her mom, Beth, decided to go into business for herself. Taylor has been involved in the company at every aspect. Taylor graduated from Boise State University with her bachelors in Communication and Business in 2018. After ruling out law school, Taylor decided to come help grow Simple Bites for the next year. Six years later, she has taken on more responsibilities and now runs our social media, manages clients, and runs our front office.
